Knowshon Moreno is Big-Time

Georgia's Knowshon Moreno is expected to be one of College Football's running backs this season. Dude was awesome last season, averaging 5.3 yards per carry and 102 yards a game. 'Shon found the end zone 14 times. Now he's back ready for more.
In case you haven't noticed, Moreno can do it all. He runs hard between the tackles. He can bust the long ones. Knowshon can make'm miss and run over them. He can catch it. He can pass-block. No wonder NFL scouts are in love with this guy. They view him as a "3 down back." No substitution needed. He can do whatever you need him to do.
Moreno has had a little shoulder soreness during two-a-days, so Richt has limited his contact work. Smart move. Let King and Samuel get most of the live reps, because you already know what #24 can do. One practice recently, Moreno worked out with the receivers and was really impressive. His routes were crisp and clean. He caught the ball consistently, and then made things happen after the catch. The only thing giving away the fact that he is a running back was the number, otherwise you would have thought he was one of the top receivers. Amazing. This guy could start at wide out too.
But to me the most impressive thing about this guy is the energy he brings to the field. Moreno craves the competition. Knowshon desperately wants to win. This attitude is infectious. His 'Dog teammates feed off this competitiveness and energy. They know he's bringin' it.
Ohio State's "Beanie" Wells is a big boy who has that homerun ability, but he's not in Knowshons league catching the ball. Davis and Spiller are big-time at Clemson, but they are not the complete player Moreno is. There is not a coach in the country that wouldn't love to have him suiting up for them.
Go ahead and pencil Knowshon in for 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns. Plus thirty catches. That's the minimum line if he stays healthy. The load will be bigger now that Thomas Brown is wearing a Falcons uniform. Give him the ball, it ain't heavy.
You can also tell he and Stafford have a special chemistry. They love playing together. And they are looking like the top 1-2 punch in College Football.
