Gators Chomp on 'Dogs

More than a little bit disappointed that in the season's 2 biggest games, Richt's 'Dogs played their two worst games. Perhaps most of the credit should go to Alabama and Florida for playing outstanding football. But when the 'Dogs look in the mirror, they must be wondering why they performed so poorly.
The post-game coverage had most of the Georgia players talking about how the game was closer than the score indicated. Probably a little truth to that theory, but when you get rolled like that, the first thing you need to do is tip your cap to the opponent. Didn't hear much of that. That's disappointing too. Guess reality had not sunk in yet.
Tebo was outstanding. Made every play. Harvin is one of the most explosive guys in CF. On defense, Joe Haden, Dustin Doe, and Brandon Spikes stepped up and made multiple big-plays. The Gators best players played their best.
Can't say the same about the 'Dogs big name players. Stafford had 3 picks. Moreno a critical fumble and a dropped TD pass. Asher Allen got beat deep. Curran had just 5 tackles.
There were 2 huge plays in the game. Jarius Wynn pulled a knucklehead move, after Prince Miller picked off a Tebo pass, with the game scoreless in the 1st quarter. Wynn ripped the helment off a Gators OL, 20 yards away from the play and got flagged with a personal foul. Big momentum swing. Gators went on to drive for a TD and took a 7-0 lead. Wynn's undisciplined move cost the team big.
Big swing #2 came at the start of the 2nd half...'Dogs defense stops Florida. Stafford hits on 3 big pass plays and Moreno rips off an 18 yard dash. Georgia is 1st and 10 from the Gators 30...about to make it a 14-10 game.
Gators get pressure on Matt, he underthrows an out cut, and Joe Haden picks it off and sprints 88 yards with it. One play later, Tebo kncoks it in and Florida leads 21-3.
Most of the blame has got to be directed at the offense.Turnovers and missed opportunities put the defense in countless bad spots. Florida's offense scored on a 41 yard drive, a 1 yard drive, a 10 yard drive, and a 25 yard drive. It was too easy.
Most of the Gators seemed a little surprised it came so easy. It was like they didn't even have to earn it.
The victory was gift wrapped. Here it is guys, sorry for that celebration thing last season. They were ready for a fight and didn't even have to break a sweat.

Hey, Florida played a great game, and being a hard nosed 34 year old, I tip my cap. You gotta give it to your opponent when he plays well, and you gotta get better when you don't. You got two choices Dawgs, lay down and get fleas, or stand up and strengthen your foundation. The foundation has been put in place many years before you got here, don't put a crack in it, and lose the house that's been built by your predecessors. CMR loves Georgia, he'll get em playing better, we just had a lot of injuries, and ran into two buzz saws this season, brutal schedule for us. And hey Willie, don't leave, but get the secondary going with some corners and build a pass rush between now and next season....thanks Buck.
