Good Win in Lexington

That was a good win in Lexington. The crowd got crazy in the 3rd quarter, when things started going the 'Cats way, and they rocked that stadium the rest of the game. And Georgia would not have won the game without Stafford at QB. The guy simply refused to lose. The strong wind was a factor throwing the ball downfield. When Georgia arrived at the stadium, Matt spent 30 minutes in street clothes throwing to the WRs, trying to get a feel for how much the wind altered the flight of the ball. And during the game, Bobo was smart to keep taking those deep shots, even though the wind was making it tough to complete. It paid off with some big plays later in the game. Massaquoi was rock solid, despite the 2 fumbles. He got hit by a 250 lb linebacker on one, and a DT on the other. Matt told me after the game that he went over to Mo to tell him to hang tough, and before he could say anything, Mo told him, "Don't worry about me." Then, he stepped up with the big play. Impressive.
The game-winning TD toss went like this: Richt told Matt not to force it, because a FG would tie it. Bobo had a new twist with the play call: Moreno at FB in a 2-back set. Then a shift: Moreno to the slot in a 3-receiver bunch set. Matt's first read was A.J. on the slant. Green was open, but pressure forced Matt to scramble. 2nd Option: Moreno on a wheel route...not open. Stafford avoided 2 sacks as he rolled to the right. He caught a glimpse of A.J. in the back of the end zone and threw a high ball to him for the big TD. Both were thrilled with the result.
Thought Martinez did a solid job rallying his defense. Things started to go bad in the 3rd quarter. Special teams started messing up. Kentucky got great field position. Cobb started making guys miss. The crowd was going crazy. The situation looked bad. But that's when Coach Martinez got'm going. Warned them about the screen pass. The 'Dogs shut'm down the last 12:00. That's good coaching to me.
That was a good win. Any other take is just not accurate. Guess you had to be there to understand.
