Richt Beats Pete Carroll

Georgia Coach Mark Richt outperforms USC Coach Pete Carroll. Did you notice? More gracious than Pete. More unselfish than Pete. This was a no-contest, between two of the best in the business.
Yesterday, out in LA, Pete showed his rear end, at the Mark Sanchez Going Pro press conference. He refused to sit next to his QB at the front table. And he spoke out against the young man's decision to leave. Jerk. Pete made a wonderful day for Mark Sanchez turn into something uncomfortable. That's selfish, Coach.
Meanwhile, flash back to the Stafford and Moreno press conference in Athens. Mark Richt sat between them and celebrated the day with them (even though he knew his team was taking a big hit). No ego here. Just good, old-fashioned love for his guys. It's just another example of how fortunate UGA is to have Coach Richt running the football program.
I'll take Richt over Pete any day.
And to you knuckleheads who believe Richt is too nice a guy to beat Florida, or win another title...I tell you this: you simply don't know the man well enough to make that judgement. The guy is a competitor. The fire burns. And you are clueless.
