Puppies Back on the Road
Georgia's Offense has got to crank up the running game out in Arkansas. That's the best shot at winning this one. Keep that Razorback Offense on the sideline...watching Richard Samuel pound their defense. I'd be nice in Caleb King could share the load, but it's about time to stop thinking about that.
Anyway, the Bulldog O-Line took a step forward against South Carolina. Clint Boling dominated his match-up, and that's why he has been named the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week. Graded out 94% and had 10 knockdown blocks. He's awesome. And Justin Anderson appeared to play physical next to Boiling at guard. On the other side, Cordy Glenn and Vince Vance played ball too. I was surprised that Vance held up so well against a beast in Cliff Matthews. Matthews was quiet most of the night. Ben Jones snapped the ball a little early a couple of times and he needs to elevate his play in the middle. Chapas is solid as a rock at FB.
The right formula for success looks to me like this: Run Samuel 20 times behind this big OL, mix in some Play-Action and get the ball to Aaron White and Orson Charles working the middle of the field, and get the ball to A.J. Green and Michael Moore, both in the quick passing game and the intermediate routes.
Right now, no other WR appears ready to deliver. Maybe Tavarres King. He's beginning to look like he belongs. And it would be huge if he emerges as a threat. Marlon Brown and Rantavius Wooten got their first playing time against South Carolina, but are so green right now. Israel Troupe has disappeared.
Two things concern me about this trip to Arkansas. 1- Not enough pressure on Mallett. 2- The young skill players not delivering on the road, in an hostile enviroment (like Oklahoma State). SO, GET THAT RUN GAME CRANKED UP.
