'Dogs Need to Ride Thoroughbred!

Get the ball in the hands of A.J. Green. And do it early and often. The young man is a stallion. A clydesdale. In a game like this, you've got to show him off. The ball has got to be going his way. He has a chance to make a huge impact in the outcome of the game.
In last year's game against Florida, the ball didn't go his way once in the 1st quarter. At the half, A.J. had 1 catch for 3 yards. Unacceptable. Stafford did get him the ball some in the 2nd half. Green had receptions of 17, 17 and 54 yards. He finished with 5 receptions for 92 yards.
A.J. leads the SEC in catches with 41 (LaFell is 2nd with 34). His 682 receiving yards leads the SEC by 240 yards. He averages 16.6 yards per reception, which is 2nd in the SEC to Childs at Arkansas. His 6 touchdowns is tied with LaFell for the SEC lead. Those 97 receiving yards per game ranks out 11th nationally.
The dude is having an All-American season as a sophomore. Look for A.J. and Jordan Shipley to get the All-American honors is things don't change.
Florida has two outstanding CBs. Joe Haden looks like a 1st round pick. Janoris Jenkins is also a very talented cover guy. But that's no reason not to attack those two guys in coverage. Go after them with #8. That will be more effective than handing it off and trying to run it at the Florida front 7.
A.J. Green needs to touch it in the first possession. The ball has got to go his way early. Get him involved. Throw it to him short in the Quick Passing Game. Take some shots downfield in every quarter. Give it to him on a reverse. Use the bunch formation. Go to him off play-action. Put him in motion. LIne him up in the slot.
Joe Cox told me Coach Bobo gave them a good plan. I bet that plan includes getting A.J. Green 10 catches minimum.
Want to beat the #1 team in College Football? Get the ball to A.J. Green and let him go to work.
