Bowl Game Thoughts

I'm not sure what my buddy Mark Schlabach is thinking on ESPN.com, by slotting Auburn to play in the Cotton Bowl. Mark has Auburn beating Georgia and losing to Alabama to finish 8-4. I've got the Tigers losing to Georgia & Alabama and finishing the season 7-5, and 3-5 in the SEC. That's not Cotton Bowl material. Auburn looks like a team heading to Nashville and the Music City to me.
Right now, LSU, Ole Miss, Georgia, Tennessee and Auburn have a lot to play for, as far as the bowl games go. Finish strong and the bowl game venue is decent...lose a game or two, and it's off to a lame venue. These teams are scrambling right now for positioning.
What are Georgia's possibilities? Outback or Music City.
Beat Auburn and Kentucky at home and the 'Dogs are 7-4 heading into the Georgia Tech showdown. That would have them 5-3 in the SEC and that could be the 4th best SEC record. Upset Tech and the 'Dogs sit 8-4 and are somewhat attractive. That's best case scenario and I would imagine that would get them to Tampa and the Outback Bowl to face Wisconsin.
The Chick-fil-A Bowl would probably gravitate to one of the teams that would have to travel and spend the night in Atlanta hotel rooms (Vols). So, Georgia is down on their list. That reasoning has me believing the 'Dogs most likely destination is Nashville and the Music City Bowl to face North Carolina or FSU.
I see Arkansas in the LIberty. Kentucky in the Independence. South Carolina in the Papajohns.com (B'ham). Auburn in the Music City. Tennessee in the Chick-fil-A. Georgia in the Outback. Ole Miss in the Cap One. LSU in the Cotton.
    Check back next week.
