Paul Johnson's Big Gamble?

Georgia Tech was fortunate to get off the field a winner on Saturday. Wake wasn't going away easy. And Paul Johnson wasted no time knocking them out in overtime.
I'm surprised at how many people think he gambled big with the decision to go for it on 4th down. Man, that Johnson...he's got brass ones. Say what?
I've got 3 reasons why Coach Johnson went for it. 1- He's got a 230 pound QB who can sneak it. 2- This is a run-based attack, not some pass happy scheme like Houston. 3- Coach Johnson is in charge and he's not concerned at all by the 2nd guessers. Plus, winning now, is a lot better than winning later. Going for it was the right decision.
The players love it when their coach is aggressive. Even if Nesbitt gets stuffed and they lose...at least they went for it. Take the bull by the horns! Go get it. Make it happen.
Paul Johnson is doing all the right things at Georgia Tech. ACC Championship hopes are still alive, and so are those Orange Bowl dreams.
