Tough Assignment for Georgia Coaches

Richt will have to step up his game this week in prep for the 'Cats arriving at Sanford Stadium on Saturday. There is not much "juice" associated with playing Kentucky. Richt's 'Dogs are 7-1 against these guys. Georgia hasn't lost to Kentucky at home since my official visit in October 1977. Since then, they are 0-15 at Sanford Stadium. Georgia is supposed to beat these guys. Auburn has an edge to it. There is none of that with Kentucky.
The match-ups say this will be a tough fight. The 'Cats team is made up of upperclassmen: 16 juniors and seniors start on offense and defense. The O-Line features 4 seniors...6 when you include the FB & TE. In their secondary, the 'Cats start 2 seniors and a junior. The D-Line: 2 juniors and a senior. The point being this: they will not be easily intimidated. These guys have been thru the SEC several times. They are experienced and tough.
Under Richt, the 'Dogs have averaged 39.7 points a game against Kentucky. Don't look for that kind of production this time around. There is no A.J. Green to hit the big-play. Explosion plays will be hard to come by. To win, Georgia will need to win the turnover battle and limit penalties for the 2nd week in a row. The 'Dogs will need to get Ealey and Caleb going. And the defense will have to crowd the LOS and hunker down against the Locke and Cobb.
This one has the look of a hard-faught, 24-21 type game. Don't be expecting a blowout.
