My cell was buzzing this morning. Word on the street was reporting that Coach Martinez had handed in his resignation to Richt. And Richt was busy chasing Tenuta. This one just didn't seem real. So, I checked my sources and got back the old "unconfirmed" answer.
It just doesn't make sense to me. Not the unconfirmed thing, but the rumor.
    The timing didn't seem right. Don't think Willie would be resigning the week of the GT game. Don't think Richt would be chasing Tenuta the week of the GT game. No time for those things. All the time is spent preparing the team to play GT. Coaches sink their heart and soul into this one. 
    Tenuta seems like an odd mix. X-Georgia Tech DC. And his Notre Dame defense has been bad. The Irish is allowing 24.18 pts per game (#56 CF), and 160 yards rushing and 4.6 yards a carry (#80 CF). They have forced 18 TOs. Georgia is dead last in CF with just 8. 
    The coffee shop is buzzing, and not just with GT talk. The boys have Tenuta coming in as the new DC and Richt's brother-in-law Brad Johnson taking over the offense. The rumor mill is cranking them out.
    Wonder what's really going on behind the scenes. Oh yeah, preparing for GT.
