Back after a few vacation days. And back on a day when Coach Richt was busy dealing with the media. Georgia hosted the media to preview the bowl game against Texas A&M, but the bigger story was the DC search. So, Richt spent more time answering those questions.
    Interesting that he believes the job will be filled by the end of the first week of January. Let's see, the bowl games will be over by then. And the NFL regular season will be over. Let's play that connect the dotes game...Kirby Smart, Sal Sunseri, and Ellis Johnson would be done by then. Joe Sanders of the Buffalo Bills will be finished with the NFL season. This makes sense. The job will go to a man coaching in a bowl game, or completing the NFL season.
    Good to hear that Richt will hire the DC first, and then have him have input on the other defensive hires. Smart. 
    And really good to hear CMR has considered hiring a Special Teams Coach too. And not just have a position coach fill that role, like they did with Fabris. Smart.
    Smart? I like Kirby Smart! Make the commitment to go get the #1 candidate. Bring the Georgia boy back home. Turn the defense over to him. Pay him top dollar. In the meantime, go win the next game, for the Bulldog fans out there.
