Murray Learning Important Lessons

Most of the reviews coming out of the Georgia Bulldog camp has been positive on QB Aaron Murray. He has started to earn the respect of the vets, with his hard work and humble attitude. Coach Bobo says he's stepping into the huddle and taking charge. Understands the plays and what they are trying to accomplish. All that sounds encouraging.
There have been some growing pains, as we all should expect. It's not always going to be beautiful right now. Aaron is busy learning some important lessons. Just like I did as a young quarterback. Best I remember, practice and scrimmages as a young, unproven quarterback are the places where you can grow.
Murray got caught trying to force a ball into the end zone and Ogletree picked it off. The lesson learned: throw it away and let Walsh put 3 on the scoreboard. Murray was also moving around in the pocket, when the protection was solid. The lesson learned: trust the pocket.
Murray goes out to practice and lets it rip. He makes a few mistakes. Later he watches it on video and Bobo corrects the mistake. AND A YOUNG QB LEARNS. That's the process. It's normal. Part of the growing process. Come gametime, Aaron Murray has a much better idea of what it's going to take to get the job done.
