Circle The Wagons in Starkpatch
This is one of those "Take No Prisoners" road trips. You know the deal: where guys bust down the locker room door, take the field and kick some serious butt. You've probably seen it in the movies. Well, it's time for the Dawgs to translate that into real life.
The critics are out in the open full blast. Fire Richt. Fire Bobo. Some fans are killing them under the cover of some stupid blog name. Other fans are getting enjoyment out of websites designed to tear down this proud program. You've probably heard some furious fans saying something like this: "I'm not donating another dime to the program, because I deserve better than this." Had one guy at the coffee shop telling me how our blocking schemes were outdated. When I asked where he coached, he told me he was a roofer.
I'm always surprised at the lack of loyalty. A guy like Mike Bobo has basically committed his young adult life to the Bulldog football program...put his heart and soul into Georgia football, as a player and as a coach...and some fans are treating him like he's a Georgia Tech man. I'm embarrassed about that.
In fact, I agree with Coach Richt. The good fans stick with the team through good times and bad. And yes, there are a large number of Georgia fans that fall into this catagory. So, I salute you. As far as you other fair weather fans go...you just look silly.
