We just aren't very good right now. And that's not to take anything away from Mississippi State. Mullen's guys played a solid game. But as a Georgia guy, that was difficult to watch. Ealey fumbled again at the goal line. We had a penalty that called back Durham's TD catch. The defense couldn't get off the field. A pedestrian MSU offense controlled the game. That was frustrating.
  All this talk coming into the season about Grantham's pressure packages...and it appeared we played soft against these guys. Coverage on the perimeter was loose. The D-Line is the softest group I can remember seeing at Georgia. Dent is the only LB making plays. I'm not sure what's on that laminated sheet that Coach Grantham is holding, but It didn't have anything on it that worked, especially on 3rd down.
  That was the thing that got us beat. Our defense couldn't stop State on 3rd down. State converted 7-9 in the 2nd half. Simply couldn't get off the field. Anyone calling for Grantham's head yet?
  We all know that Georgia had more talent than those guys, but State has the best team right now. Spoke with my close friend John Bond, a Mississippi State man, and he's afraid McGarity is going to come after Mullen. Interesting. Dan's done a good job there.
  Not sure what was worse, watching Georgia lose to Mississippi State or listening to the Fox SportsSouth broadcast. Wait one minute, the worst thing was my 24-7 prediction.
