Good News, Bad News With Vols

What do the 'Dogs do now? Work harder and stay together. It's up to the staff to come up with a few wrinkles or playing time changes. The motivation right now is to knock the door down and just win a game. Short-term focus.
Tennessee hits Athens sort of a laughing-stock too. That 13 dudes on the field thing in Baton Rouge gave everyone outside the Volunteer orange a good laugh. But you can count on one thing this Saturday...Derek Dooley's staff will have a good plan.
The Vols are playing a physical brand of football. Not much fancy stuff. Just hard-nosed, tough football. Sure hope the 'Dogs are ready for that. This will be some of that in-the-trenches, smash-mouth ball. Derek has certainly reviewed the recent match-ups between Tennessee & Georgia, where the Vols have won the battle on the LOS. Vols have won 3 of the last 4 meetings, while averaging 36 points a game. That's the bad news.
The good news? Tennessee doesn't have big-time playmakers. Dooley's staff is working the recruiting trail trying to find them. And the freshmen aren't quite ready yet. For example, 5-star freshman Da'Rick Rogers has 3 catches, with a long reception of 13 yards. These guys aren't going to beat us with fancy playmaking.
Strap it on tight for this one. It'll be a physical scuffle.
