'Dogs To Finish The Drill?
Coach Richt uses this phrase all the time, even in that Ford TV commerical. Finish the drill. And this will play out to end this disappointing season. It means fight to the end. Never give in. This team will need to do exactly that to avoid being embarrassed.
Idaho State? No, I mean the two games after the fundraiser.
Cameron Newton and a trip to Auburn loom. There is talk about Cam and those guys hanging 50-plus on the 'Dogs defense. Then, the 'Dogs have to stop Paul Johnson's GT offense. That is a serious back-to-back challenge for the defense. Not sure that group is up to it.
And munch in this for a moment: If the 'Dogs lose at Auburn, GT will have the opportunity to knock Georgia out of the bowl game picture AND prevent them from having a winning season. Talk about big-time motivation! GT will be loving this. The Yellow Jackets would bust down the door to get to the field.
So, the 'Dogs need a split with Auburn and GT to go to a bowl. And that's huge because of the bowl practices involved. Lose to both Auburn and GT and the 'Dogs staff won't get the opportunity to work with all these young guys that will be getting snaps next season. Like Alec Ogletree. So, this is serious stuff.
