Auburn Game Week Notes

The 'Dogs have won at Jordan-Hare Stadium 9 times in 25 attempts. Proud to have been apart of that 31-21 win in 1980, which captured the SEC title. We raised the roof celebrating, in that small visitors locker room. 'Dogs have won 2 in a row over there. Getting out of Auburn on gameday isn't easy. Can't say I'm going to miss that this Saturday. Occasionally I'll get asked, "Buck, what do you miss the most, handing it to Herschel?" My response is always the same: The police escort out of town after a road game.
The top individual match-ups this Saturday come in the trenches: Cordy Glenn vs. Nick Fairley and Lee Ziemba vs. Justin Houston. The obvious: Demond Washington & Neiko Thorpe are going to need some help with A.J. Green. Did you hear Fran Tarkenton on 680 last week ripping the staff for not getting A.J. the ball enough against Florida? Ouch. Not to rip Fran, but the Auburn DBs have pointed out all the safety help the Gator CBs got against Green. Still, I understand what Fran was saying...move him around and get him the ball early and often.
Cool it on the Hutson Mason corrections. I know he played a little against the Rajun Cajuns in the opener. I was trying to point out that this was the most meaningful action he's gotten. Bobo turned him loose. Hutson was comfortable running the offense. That's all. But thanks for the help.
Need Aaron Murray to get off to a better start this Saturday.
What's it going to take to beat Cam Newton and the Tigers? The best performance of the season.
