Chew On This Turkey

Georgia Tech is going to need some big plays to beat Georgia at Sanford Stadium. Yeah, like they got a couple of years ago, when they put up 45 on the scoreboard. Otherwise, it could be a long day for the Jackets.
'Dogs are going to score on this GT defense. Paul Johnson and Al Groh anticipate that. So, GT is going to have to score. I'd say 30 is a number they should be expecting to get to. And that takes guys making big plays. Is GT capable of making enough plays to win?
GT QB Tevin Washington has shown some big-play ability, with his legs and his arm. He's going to have to deliver a memorable performance to get it done Saturday night.WR Stephen HIll is a guy GT needs to elevate in this game. Hill delivered against Duke, on a 79 yard TD pass. Jackets need more of that on Saturday. In fact, I'm having a hard time imagining GT winning, without these 2 guys breaking out with big performances.
Anthony Allen is capable of taking over. He's another guy the Jackets need to have a big day. Johnson will give him a heavy load. Couple of 30-40 yard runs would be big. Rip off a 65 yarder for a TD would be huge.
On defense, LB Brad Jefferson is going to have to get Ealey and Caleb King on the ground a bunch. He's got to lead the way. Tarrant and Mario Butler have big-play ability and a pick or two would be large for GT.
Big plays win rivalry games. GT's going to need some.
Sure hope Grantham's plan is solid.
