This is really an interesting storyline, as both Georgia and Alabama go after the Peach State's top football players. Kirby is the Alabama DC and their recruting ace in Georgia, where he was raised, played high school ball (Bainbridge), and college (Georgia). Mike is the Bulldogs OC and our top recruiting specialist in Georgia. Smart and Bobo were teammates at Georgia and developed a close friendship.
   Now they are rivals. And going after the same 5-star players. There is still respect between these two guys, but it's also a very intense, competitive situation. Imagine battling your close friend everyday at work. Can't be easy. But it does have some advantages.
   You've heard of that phrase: Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. That one goes back to Chinese General Tsun-tzu and Michael Corleone in Godfather Part II. That shouldn't be a problem here. These two guys know each other so well. Makes it easier to anticipate what the other is selling and saying.
