3 Still Out There: Drew, Crowell & Jenkins

CF coaches are into the final week of recruiting. Then, it's time to shut it down until National SIgning Day arrives, on February 2nd. Richt and his staff are still pushing hard, trying to convince the Big 3 to join the "Dream Team."
The Big 3? Ray Drew, Isaiah Crowell and John Jenkins. Got to get them.
Crowell and Jenkins visited Athens this past weekend. Heard the students attending the Georgia-MIssissippi State game were chanting, "Isaiah, Isaiah, Isaiah..." Chip Towers told me that John Jenkins, the JUCO nose tackle, had a really good visit, but left without committing. Understand he has a visit to Florida lined up for this weekend.
As far as Ray Drew goes...there is a Friday announcement in Thomasville. Right now, there is plenty of smoke and intrigue out there, but I'll be surprised if he doesn't announce he's going to Georgia. Call it a hunch, or an educated guess. Sources close to the situation tell me it's a Georgia lean. Wouldn't surprise me if he hasn't already told Bobo in private that he's on board. We'll have to wait until Friday to find out. As you know, a lot can change with a teenager in 3-4 days.
All 3 of these guys can play immediately. That obviously helps Georgia. Sounds like LeMay, Rome and some of the other VCs have done a nice job recruiting too. I like that part. Reminds me of a few years back, when I was traveling over to Jesup to "recruit" Lindsay Scott. Sure glad I made that trip.
Towers was telling me this morning that Georgia also has a shot to land Antonio Richardson (OL from Nashville), Taylor Gadbois from E. Paulding High (VC to Miami) and LB Kent Turene (a USC VC from Florida). The 'Dogs need to sign some legitimate OL.
LSU & FSU have lined up top classes, but if Georgia gets Drew, Crowell and Jenkins...Georgia will be rated out next to those guys up top nationally. And that's an awesome job, with all the negativity hanging over Coach Richt and his staff.
