Feeling Bad For A.J.

For A.J. Green, this was the worst-case scenario. A glorious day ruined. The Cincinnati Bengals used the 4th pick in the 1st round to grab him. One of the all-time downers. First Pollack, and now Green. I felt for David then, and I feel bad for A.J. now.
Thought A.J. put on a good face last night, when his name was called. That couldn't have been easy, but it was a class move. He must have been deflated inside.
No NFL player wants to be in Cincinnati. The Bengals organization is regarded as Losersville. Careers hit the skids there. All the good players want out. Just ask QB Carson Palmer. He would rather retire, than work one more day for the Bengals.
I had hoped the Bengals would take Gabbert. I had hoped A.J. and his agent would have told the Bengals not to draft him. I had hoped the Falcons were going to move up and save the day.
Reportedly, the Bengals turned down the Falcons offer to make a deal. That's got to make this sting even more. Think about it...Falcons are serious contenders and the Bengals are losers. A.J. could have been in a Falcons uniform, close to home, and knocking on the Super Bowl door. Instead, he's stuck playing for losers. Ouch.
