Bumped into Coach Spurrier walking the beach, over the 4th of July holiday. This has become sort of a 4th of July tradition. My day isn't complete, until I've kicked the sand with the Ole Ball Coach.
   This year, he told me 2 things I didn't want to hear.
   1- Lattimore is the hardest, most dedicated weightroom guy the Gamecocks have.  
   2- Garcia told him he's quit drinking.
   Marcus Lattimore is a beast. He's up to 225-230 pounds and rock solid. And he's leading the way in the off-season workouts. Stepping up. Pushing to improve. Sure is a wonderful thing, when you're best player is dedicated.
   The Garcia mention makes sense. His file is thick. This is his last time around. Put the beer down and make a commitment. He's got Lattimore behind him and Jeffrey split out wide. And the NFL is watching. Bet his teammates rally around him now.
   The Gamecocks are the team to beat in the East.
