'Dogs Better Practice These 2 Things
Sure hope Coach Bobo and Coach Grantham are totally obsessed right now. Designing specific drills. And going over it over and over, in meetings and on the field. This is the key to beating Boise State in the opener.
The offense can't turn it over. The defense must "Hunker Down" on 3rd down. There you have it. The keys to the big game.
Coach Bobo has a veteran QB, who understands the concept of protecting the ball. Aaron Murray gets it. But Crowell? Samuel? Bryan McClendon needs to have that fumble/strip drill going on in camp. Isaiah is taking a big step up in competition. Richard will be a bit rusty. Boise State will be looking to force a few turnovers. THAT CAN'T HAPPEN. GEORGIA CAN'T TURN IT OVER AND WIN THIS GAME.
Coach Grantham's defense is facing a well-oiled machine. Kellen Moore is a surgeon on 3rd down. The Broncos converted 49% on 3rd down last season. We were terrible with our 3rd down defense (#80 CF), allowing a conversion rate of almost 42%. If those trend numbers hold up, we are in big trouble. 'DOGS HAVE TO HUNKER DOWN ON 3rd DOWN!
Boise's offense was practicing the "Hurry Up" the 1st day of practice. Best I can tell, Grantham's best plan is to turn our guys loose. Not have too many checks. Broncos are multiple, with shifts and motion. Can't have our defense constantly adjusting and switching out of calls...turn them loose. Unleash the hounds! Keep the plan simple enough to attack constantly.
Hold on to the ball and get the Boise off the field...do those 2 things and we win at the Dome.

Buck if we line up Charles outside and bring in Lynch-with Figgins and Samuel in the backfield-will we be the biggest offense in college football--I know both tackles are 340+ this might make for an interesting Post!
