How About the Nike Combat Uniforms?

I'm down with it. It's only a one-time gig, right? I still don't want to get categorized as an "old-timer." So, let's rock in the new uni's. Boise State is going to break out in some Nike Combat too.
Relax. Try to embrace them. The players are excited. They do look space age. Sort of like the helmets. The silver graphite is cool. That thick stripe is unusual. And the Georgia "G" is still recognizable, so that's awesome.
The only thing that bothers me is the red-on-red. Never did like those schools that would go all one color. Like Clemson or Tennessee in all orange. High school teams have done this for years...same color jersey as the pants. It's just a bad look to me.
Always did like the red pants, but with the white jersey. We played it in '79 and in the opener against Tennessee in 1980. Then, the silver pants came back.
But I'll play along this one time. All red, uh? Okay, let's go win with it!

    I get the uniforms.
Silver Helmets represent the pre-Dooley years
Red pants represent the opening game of the National Championship and undefeated season
    Red Jerseys represent Georgia's Color's
The oval G represents Dooley's first contribution to the team.

Sounds cool. And D.C. United of Major League Soccer has a special red on red look this season in support of trying to raise funds for cancer research and it doesn't look that bad. It takes your eyes a minute to adjust but I'm sure it will look great on the Dawgs! Hope the kids are excited. 2 weeks!!
