Key Match-Ups Vs. Broncos

One critical match-up that jumps off the page quick is Cordy Glenn taking on Shea McClellin. Cordy will be making his first career start at left tackle and he gets one of the toughest DEs in CF. McClellin was All-WAC last season (9.5 sacks LS) and he comes ready to mix it up. Dude is probably thinking he's going to teach Cordy a lesson in life on the edge (Cordy's been inside at guard prior to this season) and impress NFL scouts watching the match-up. Cordy outweighs McClellin by 90 pounds. Bet McClellin's plan is to whip him with his quickness and his relentless style of play. By the way, NFL scouts are watching Cordy closely. And Aaron Murray is hoping he gets off to a quick start at LT.
Wonder if Boise State will try to exploit Justin Anderson at RT, by flipping McClellin some?
Inside, on this side of the ball, Gates, Jones and Burnette have their hands full with the Broncos DTs. Billy Winn and Chase Baker are tough, veteran, senior tackles. Winn is one of CFs top-rated interior linemen. As
you know, Gates and Burnette are first-year starters (Gates stepped in for 3 games last season).
So, the Georgia O-Line will be challenged in this game.
On the other side of the ball, Boise State features an All-American LT in Nate Potter. He's a 5th year senior, who is now an NFL prospect. DeAngelo Tyson gets Potter. Last season, DE was a huge weakness. Tyson is supposed to elevate the performance level this season. And he gets tested right out of the gate.
Grantham has made a smart move, by turning over the free safety spot to Sanders Commings, who is a better cover guy than Rambo. Boise features 2 deep threat WR's in Geraldo Boldewijn and Matt Miller. Can't be allowing any deep balls.

Need I remind you that your concerns across our OL may be a bit overblown. The strength of our OL comes in their size differential against Boise St. If Bobo is smart he'll pound the rock to set-up the pass. By the 4th Qtr. I expect the size and strength of our OL will be a significant issue for Boise St. to deal with. Moreover, Boise St. is ALL WORLD against weak competition. Everytime they've taken on a SEC school they've been destroyed.
