Critical Mistakes Doom 'Dawgs

The 'Dogs blew a chance to win this one, by making some critical mistakes. The biggest turning point came in the 3rd quarter.
'Dogs have an opportunity to go up 27-14, with the ball at the SC +42. And they can't execute a simple hand-off. Crowell reached for it and didn't give Murray a pocket to put it in. Gilmore picked it up returned the fumble 58 yards to the Georgia 5. Moments later, SC takes a 21-20 lead. That's a 14 point swing.
Then, Murray throws a "Pick-6" moments later. That's a 21 point swing. Bulldogs go from being in control, to emergency mode in a minutes time.
That's also giving the game away. I've always thought that's worse than just getting whipped. This one stings. Hurts. Now the lynch mob is out in full force. Beat South Carolina the spin is positive. Now it's all negative.
As far as the 'Dogs slipping, well the numbers don't lie. It's the cold, hard truth.
In SEC games not including Vanderbilt, Georgia is 5-10 in the last 15. Against real competition, since the start of the 2009 season, the Bulldogs are 9-14. Ouch.
With Coastal Carolina and Ole MIss up next, the 'Dogs probably get it back on the road and get to 2-2. But October looks tough. MSU is tough. Tennessee has improved. Florida has our number. It looks like a 3-5 record into November. Would a 7-5 season be acceptable?

I don't think MSU and Tennessee are insurmountable obstacles. Georgia could be 5-2 going into the Florida game. They've got a decent chance to go 8-4. Would 8-4 be enought to save Richt?
