Gamecocks Better Than 'Dawgs
That one hurt. But so do all the defeats. Having been around some great football coaches, the first thing you do is tip your cap to the opponent. Spurrier's Gamecocks are tough. That's the best collection of talent South Carolina has ever had. And they refused to lose this one at Sanford Stadium.
We've slipped. There is no doubt about it. Both Boise State and South Carolina are quality opponents, but we've slipped.
Too many holes. Too thin in some places. Not good enough to beat Top 25 teams.
As a player, you never, ever quit. Fighting through all the negativity is the only option you've got. But the players know Richt is in big trouble. No has to tell them that they are 0-2, after a losing season, which ended with a Liberty loss to UCF. It's ugly out there. So many people want Richt gone.
Most fans want to blow it up.
Richt has had a good run. Won a couple of SEC Titles. Led the program for over a decade. But the end is near. Not sure how he endures this. McGarity's phone must be ringing off the hook.

Buck,
Although you are correct abuot depth and talent, you sound like some of these sorry fans who have never played or coached a down of football in their lives. Missisppi State is beatable, Tennessee is beatable, Florida is beatable, and Auburn is beatable. Do not give up on this team and Mark Richt. Character and integrity go a long way.....do not give up.
