Bulldogs Slam Coastal Carolina

The 'Dogs didn't waste any time jumping on these guys. Offense got out quick, with Crowell's explosive run up the middle. Murray was sharp. Bobo's guys put up 21 points in the 1st quarter. Grantham's defense started the game forcing 3-straight "3-and-outs."
This was a scheduled execution...and that's what it turned out to be. The 'Dog fans that showed up enjoyed it.
Thought MIchael Gilliard made some noise at ILB. He played ball today, all over the field. Jarvis Jones was good, again. Sure liked the Geathers-Jenkins DL. Both of those big dudes on the field at the same time made an impact. Shawn Williams moved down to ILB and started next to Gilliard...he hunkered down. Feeling good about our CBs too. Boykin is outstanding. Branden Smith has elevated his cover skills. Sanders Commings is a solid performe. And Jordan Love has come on strong. Freshman Nick Marshall got some time.
Aaron Murray threw the ball with confidence today. Made some nice throws. The post to TK was one of his better throws today. Laid it out there with some touch and let him run under it. TK is making plays. In fact, our WR group is suddenly deep. Marlon Brown has held out today, healing an injury, but Malcom Mitchell and Michael Bennett picked up the slack. Orson looked good. Hutson Mason was sharp. He makes quick decisions and is accurate. Like that. He has poise in the pocket.
The O-Line has come on. Dallas Lee looks like a player. Good seeing some of the young pups too.Watts Danzler got some action. Hunter Long was mixing it up.
Bulldogs needed to clean it up today and did exactly that...we dominated 3rd down. Started fast. And finished the drill. It was only Coastal Carolina. But these 'Dogs took some steps forward today.
