Coach Richt says, "we are a team on the rise." Well, we see about that this Saturday in Oxford. The Rebels stink right now, but going on the road in the SEC is rarely easy. This should be a "baby step" test this week.
On defense, the Rebels can't stop the run. No wonder Richard Samuel is anxious to get back in there, after missing last week with a heel issue. Isaiah's ribs are sore, but he says he'll be ready to go too. Vandy ran for 280 yards on this unit. Time to pound the rock.
Spoke with a former SEC O-Line coach yesterday and he wasn't real impressed with the 'Dogs OL. Ben Jones was described as "OK." Cordy Glenn is "a guard playing tackle" and that's not an endorsement. And those 2 guys are our best 2 OL.
Because of our situation on the OL, Coach Bobo has to continue to use the "Smoke & Mirrors" Approach. Do a little of this and a little of that. Mike will continue to get criticized, but those in the know understand that the issue isn't play-calling...it's a below average O-Line.
Just read where this game features "2 coaches on the hot seat." There is a website that ranks who's on the hottest seat (coacheshotseat.com) and Nutt is #1. Richt is #3.

With all due respect, I just do not understand your take sometimes. You pumped up Ben Jones in the pre-season and then call him average. Get some consistency man.

You are definitely a Mike Bobo fan aren't you? Then why so skeptical and sometimes downright harsh in your criticism of Richt? You are an alum and were the QB on our NC team but you leave little to be desired in the supportive fan role. I'll bet you smile and pat him on the back when you see him in person. I wonder if he knows how two-faced you are. You should be ashamed for all of your veiled comments that reek of smarminess. You better get on aboard the Richt train because if he goes, your buddy is right behind him.
