Dogs Hunker Down in Oxford
That was a good win. Defense dominated. Crowell delivered a big performance. I'd say that was a successful road trip. Is Ole MIss one of the worst teams in the SEC? Well, yes. Obviously. But you still have to go in there and take care of business. And that's what the 'Dogs did.
Isaiah Crowell has come on strong. Looks explosive with the ball in hands. And he's fearless. Bobo got it to him 30 times in the run game...good for 147 yards and 4.9 yards per carry. For the first time, we featured him. His long run was 29 yards and Richt called it the "biggest play of the game." It was 3rd and 2, from our own 2 yard line. Bobo called a draw and we blocked it cleanly. Orson got a big block on the edge to spring him. We went on the drive 99 yards for a score. I also spotted Isaiah picking up a blitzing LB. That's his 2nd 100-yard game in a row.
Malcolm MItchell ran by the coverage on that 69 yard catch. His big-play ability is a big boost to this offense. Murray and Malcolm have a chemistry thing going on.
Grantham's defense just dominated a bad offense. Gilliard played ball, again..finished with 7 tackles and 2 PBU. Herrera had 6 stops. Commings had 5 and 2 PBU. But this was Rambo's game to shine. Dude had 2 picks and 4 stops. Shawn Williams was back at safety. Vasser make some plays at OLB. Jarvis Jones played ball, again.
That D-Line has to keep coming on. Need some plays out of those guys.

Is it just me, or did we play most of the game defensively without a NT. I saw Kwame and Big John in there for very few plays yesterday. Was that designed or is something going on we don't know about? I'm sure DawgNation would like to know.
