Hunker Down on Auburn?
This Auburn rivalry has heated up. Bunch of penalties and guys got ejected last year at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The Tigers broke a 4-game skid, in the 49-31 victory. Auburn dominated the 4th quarter and rushed for over 300 yards. Gratham's defense got toasted. Fairley beat up Aaron Murray.
But that was last year. This time around, no Cam. No Fairley.
Auburn does have a bunch of young players that have matured quickly. Chizik and his staff have done good work coaching these guys up. Malzahn has worked around a revolving door at QB and some new dudes on the O-Line. Ted Roof has 4 sophomores and a freshman playing on the D-Line.
The Tigers hit Athens dangerous, with two weeks prep time.
Win this one and Georgia is sitting pretty, in the SEC East race. Kentucky is next and the 'Cats are...not good. Got to be all in this week. Win and you're in.
COREY LEMONIER vs. CORDY GLENN. Good match-up. Cordy has the edge in the run game, where he can throw his big body around. Lemonier is an outstanding pass rusher, so Glenn has his hands full in pass protection.
MALCOLM MITCHELL vs. CHRIS DAVIS. The 'Dogs freshman WR is expected back. The Tigers CB is making a lot of plays.
JARVIS JONES vs. CLINT MOSELEY. The Tigers QB is on the lookout for Jarvis. Better find him and get the protection set. Or Jones goes off.
