No Time To Enjoy Win Over Tech
Sure is fun to see the 'Dogs whip Tech. Just wish we had more time to enjoy it. No time for that. #1 LSU hits town in a few days ready to take the 'Dogs head off. Seriously. Les told the media to make no mistake; they will bring their best shot. And the Tigers best shot is a powerful thing.
The 'Dogs also plan to show up. Although you won't hear any of the national analysts picking Georgia to win. But can you remember the last time these two teams go together in the SEC Championship Game? It was 2005. LSU hit town ranked #3. And Shockley torched them. The final score: Georgia 34, LSU 14.
Georgia does match up better than most against LSU. I expect us to play them tough.
Thought it was a good move to hold Crowell out against GT. But he's got to go this Saturday. Maybe two weeks rest and rehab will allow him to make some big plays. With the LSU pass rush being so impressive, Coach Bobo is going to need Crowell to run it some.
The Georgia O-Line was impressive against GT. Gates has quickly developed into a man inside. Burnette was strong too. Glenn is an All-SEC OT. And Justin Anderson doesn't appear to be a weakness anymore at RT. The O-Line is playing solid right now.
Grantham's defense gives up a legit shot. Don't believe the DL is going to get pushed around. Outside of Alabama, our LB play is the best in the SEC. The secondary is strong.
LSU going almost exclusively with Jordan Jefferson at QB...and I'm not impressed. Could he throw a few balls to Georgia players? Absolutely. He's a guy the 'Dogs can get after.
Fear no one and respect everyone. This just in: I can see the 'Dogs pulling off an upset.
